Although we've grown to over 50 employees, we still work as a tightly knit group and pride ourselves on our exceptionally low turnover. We hand select the best products available on the market. From mountaintop quarries in Italy, to the Greek isles, to ancient Moroccan cities and beyond, we’re always searching for hidden treasures. Our partners have learned to respect our fastidious approach to selecting only the very best for our clients—you'll never find inferior products in our warehouse. Every hue, vein, and texture is chosen to help you transform spaces into environments that are at once warm, elegant, and functional. Because we source directly, there are no costly intermediaries which allows us to offer our superior products at fair and reasonable prices.

15 years and growing

15 years and growing

2005

Doors open in San Carlos, California, with 15,000 square feet of space and the goal of serving as a premier, designer-centric, one-stop shop for both slab and tile.

2007

Nasser Al-Robaidi joins Da Vinci as Stone Master, bringing with him more than 20 years of stone buying experience. Da Vinci begins importing white marble directly.

2008

Da Vinci establishes exclusive relationships with the best white marble quarries in Italy, including Franchi, a worldwide industry leader.

2010

31,000 square feet of warehouse space added to keep pace with business. Da Vinci introduces cut-to-size/custom capabilities, fabricating a carved onyx bathtub in Italy.

2012

Outside sales team established to cater to the broader Bay Area with a focus on architects, designers, and builders. Da Vinci begins yearly participation in the San Francisco Decorator Showcase.

2013

Da Vinci expands distribution of tile and slab throughout the United States and is ranked nationally as a top partner for major tile vendors.

2015

Da Vinci’s Dealer Program launches, extending our reach through an exclusive network of distributors.

2017

Outdoor program is introduced, expanding product offerings to include outdoor applications.

2019

Da Vinci selected as the official stone and tile sponsor for the San Francisco Decorator Showcase.

2020

Record monthly revenues are achieved and number of employees grows to more than 50. Warehouse space expands to eight buildings to meet increasing demand and stock levels.

Joe Concilla and Nasser Al-Robaidi serve as Da Vinci’s in-house stone masters, bringing over four decades of experience between them. Whether they’re buying stunningly veined Calacatta marble, clear white quartzites, or other hard-to-find materials, our clients, many of whom come from thousands of miles away, treasure these masterful finds for both their beauty and quality.

Nasser Al-Robaidi, Buyer

Nasser Al-Robaidi spends much of the year in Italian quarries in search of the finest natural stone in the world, and has a well-deserved reputation for turning down much of what he sees. Quarry owners know to show Nasser only the very best, often giving him first choice on stone they deem exceptional.

Joe Concilla, President

Joe Concilla is the founder and president of Da Vinci Marble and is intimately involved in every aspect of the business. Four times a year, Joe can be found alongside Nasser, hand-selecting materials he knows will delight West Coast sensibilities and ultimately find their way into award-winning interiors and exteriors.
